Over 19 years ago, I discovered yoga when a friend shared a yoga book with me...that was the beginning...and my life has been more fulfilling ever since.
Most of my exercise came from running, biking, swimming and weights. I thought yoga would be too easy. How wrong I was.
Little did I know that yoga would become a love, a passion and eventually my career. After many years of teacher trainings and learning, I decided to teach yoga...to go deeper....to learn more... and to share.
I have been fortunate to study with many wonderful teachers in the United States, New Zealand and Augstralia. Many thanks to all my teachers. My teaching style has been influenced by many favorite teachers including Deborah Koehn, Donna Farhi, Rosie Holland, Peter Clifford, Gurmukh Kaur Kalsa, Sarah Powers, Brian Kest, Patricia Walden, Seane Corn, Sabre Page, Eric Schiffman, Mark Whitwell and Desiree Rambaugh to name a few.
How wonderful to have teachers that have been varied in their styles and true to the science of yoga. My style is a blend of many different styles of yoga. I am Yoga Alliance 500 RYT and E-RYT (experienced registered yoga teacher - over 1,000 hours teaching) accredited and a member of IYTA and IYANZ.
A dream was fulfilled when Ruby Bay Yoga Studio and Retreat was built and opened in August 2007. (Many Thanks to Don Goette who helped me build the studio.) A beautiful space to practise in the very special location of Ruby Bay, New Zealand.
Yoga is what you want it to be for you....as Yoga is the intimate exploration and love of YOURself. How fortunate that we can endlessly explore and learn with yoga.
